Hello and welcome!

My name is Alex and I’m a 30-something recipe developer, food writer, and photographer living in Brooklyn, NY. My recipes meet at the intersection of my love for food and my quest to eat for health. What really fires me up is pairing nutrient-dense whole foods with global flavor profiles, turning them into craveable meals.

This Substack is an extension of my site, The New Baguette, where you can find 300+ of my favorite plant-based recipes. (Plus a more extensive About Me page.)

My mission here is to share beautiful food and inspire others to nourish themselves in, hopefully, more ways than one.

I send out new [free!] recipes every Tuesday and dinner round-ups on Sundays. There’s also a monthly catchup on the 1st of every month, where I share book, movie, and other random recs, as well as personal updates.
